A meeting of the Berlin Board of Education was held in the Berlin High School library beginning at 6:00 p.m. Present for the meeting were Corinne Cascadden, Nicole Plourde, Lynn Moore, Donald Labrecque, Louise Valliere, Bryan Lamirande, Tim Forestall, Martha Miller, Roland Pinette, Cheryl Pinette, Dan Record, Amy Huter, Julie King, Gary Bisson, and a member of the press.
MINUTES On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the November 6, 2014 meeting. The motion passed unanimously.
WARRANTS On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to approve the warrant dated, November 24, 2014 for the amount of $147,995.56. On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
FINANCIAL REPORT The Board reviewed and approved the financial report..
COMMENTS None
POLICY REVISIONS On a motion by Louise Valliere, seconded by Lynn Moore, the Board voted to approve the revision of policy EBC– Crisis Prevention and Response. The motion passed unanimously.
EWMERGENCY PLAN On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Donald Labrecque, the Board voted to approve the School Emergency Operations Plan as presented by the Superintendent. The motion passed unanimously.
COMMENTS None
MEMBER BUSINESS Nicole Plourde read a letter from Paul Bousquet, SAU 20 Superintendent stating that the Milan Board voted unanimously not to consider SAU 3 providing financial services for Milan.
The Superintendent reported on the NH DOE onsite visit at two of our schools.

NON PUBLIC On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to go into nonpublic session at 6:25p.m. in accordance with RSA 91-A3II, (a), (b) & (c). On a roll call vote, all members voted in the affirmative.
On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to come out of nonpublic session at 8:05p.m. The motion passed unanimously. One vote was taken in nonpublic session
STAFFING On a motion by Lynn Moore, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to approve the following staffing changes:
NOMINATIONS:
Jamie Nemecek – Educational Assistant – Berlin Middle School
RE-NOMINATIONS:
Michael Smith- Boys’ Basketball Coach – Berlin Middle School
All nominations are contingent on the applicant passing a background check.
The motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURN On a motion by Donald Labrecque, seconded by Louise Valliere, the Board voted to adjourn it’s meeting at 8:07 p.m. The motion passed unanimously.
